Description

New Town community members and residents are invited to join Groundwork Jacksonville for a community meeting at Edward Waters College's Milne Auditorium, 1658 Kings Rd on Tuesday, June 22nd from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM to discuss Jacksonville's Riverfront Activation plan and the programs, activities, and events YOU think will help create a vibrant, accessible riverfront year-round. We'll have interesting visioning sessions together, and refreshments will be available. We will also host a drawing for a $50 gift card.

About the Riverfront Activation Plan:

Jacksonville is blessed with acres of riverfront land downtown but lacks a comprehensive plan for how to activate this space for all types of activities and provide access for all residents and visitors to our area.

Groundwork Jacksonville is supporting the Jessie Ball duPont Fund, in collaboration with DVDL, an agency of cultural forecasters, and WXY, a New York based design, architecture, and planning studio, on an important initiative to create a Riverfront Activation Plan. We believe that this plan should be for AND by all residents and communities in the city and hope you will join us by lending your voice and becoming an active participant of the riverfront!
